Mass Effect - What does a salarian live in human years?
This is a sequel to a previous article I wrote about salarian lifespans as compared to humans'. The conclusion was that even a human who lives to 80 years old (and the human lifespan in Mass Effect is around 150) still beats the salarians by a healthy margin.
So, a follow-up question - if not even an 80-year-old come out close to the salarian number, at what age does it?
In other words, how much time do salarians get in human years?
A salarian is awake for 335,800 hours of life, on average.
A human is awake for 5,840 hours a year.
If we divide:
The number of hours of life a salarian gets (335,800)
By
The number of hours in a human year (5,840)
We’ll get the amount of time a salarian gets in human years.
335,800 / 5840 = 57.5
Salarians get the equivalent of 57.5 human years.
Not a lot.
