It's impossible to discuss these episodes without mentioning the new character introduced, so if you want to avoid spoilers, this is your warning.

While WandaVision has always played with audience expectations, the next leg of the story has taken it to a new level. A character has been introduced that turns our theories on its head.

After Fox and Marvel split their characters across two franchises - Fox with X-Men and Disney with the Avengers. The character of Quicksilver was in both, but played by two different actors. When the Marvel one died in Avengers: Age of Ultron, that was thought to be the last of him. But now he's brought back, played by Fox's actor!

In the wake of the Disney-Fox merger in 2017, and the news that the X-Men film franchise wouldn't continue, it's been conceivable that Marvel would introduce them to their own franchise. But there's been no clue until now of it happening.

After twelve years of legally never overlapping, this actor has re-invigorated the show's mystery: is he the Fox character, drawn into this new universe? Is this a casting joke that plays on audience feelings? Is he secretly avillain disguising himself as her brother? Our feeble grasp on the story has been upset again. And that's not even getting into the actual events.

After an episode wrapping up the Brady Bunch references, episode 6 suddenly jumps forward to the early 2000's, mimicking the Malcolm in the Middle format perfectly. It's fresh and new, but Vision is starting to suspect a trick more and more, outright confirming it in a particularly disturbing work scene. Meanwhile, in the outside world, the plot thickens, as it becomes clear that some of the people watching Wanda don't have her best interests at heart. The combo of Johnny Woo, Monica Rambeau, and Darcy Lewis packs an entertaining punch here.

This slow-burning mystery has teased elements of the story while slowly ramping up the action. With three episodes left, we're entering the last leg. With tantalizing characters, exciting suspense, and questions waiting to be resolved, it promises to be a great one.

WandaVision is available to stream on Disney+
